Taproot's Vision: To see every tribe, tongue, and and nation worshiping King Jesus. South King County is home to over 300,000 people and this region is also one of the most racially, culturally, and economically diverse areas in the United States. We envision one missional community for every 1000 people. God is bringing together every tribe, tongue, and nation to worship Jesus Christ as King and we, Taproot Church, are part of that plan.

Rev 5:9-10 And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”

Taproot's Mission: God sent His Son Jesus to rescue humanity from sin and death. We now are sent to all peoples with the good news that God has rescued us through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Jesus accomplished the rescue through His perfect life, His punitive death, and His victorious resurrection. Now the Father sends us, just as He sent the Son, into the world with the good news of rescue from sin and death through faith in Jesus Christ.

John 17:18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

How is Taproot's mission accomplished? By making disciples. When Jesus sent His people into the world with the good news of Himself, He commanded that we teach others to follow, trust, and worship Him. We do this through 3 intertwined mediums. (1) The Sunday Gathering where we listen to the gospel preached and learn the Bible. (2) Within Missional Communities where we live as a family on mission together. (3) Through new churches being planted that will plant more churches.

Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
