TAPROOT'S MISSION
John 17:18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
God sent His Son Jesus to rescue humanity from sin and death. We are sent to all peoples with the good news that God is at work saving people. Jesus accomplished the rescue through His perfect life, His punitive death, and His victorious resurrection. Taproot is sent into the highways and byways of South King County to herald the news of this rescue and call people to Jesus the Savior.
How? The mission is accomplished by making disciples. When Jesus sent His people into the world with the good news of Himself, He commanded that we teach others to follow, trust, and worship Him. We do this through 3 intertwined mediums. (1) The Sunday Gathering where we listen to the gospel preached and learn the Bible. (2) Within Missional Communities where we live as a family on mission together. (3) Through new churches being planted that will plant more churches. - Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
